Coaching Philosophy |
|
Our team
of trainers and coaches believe:
-
in Jesus Christ and live our daily lives to glorify Him.
-
that every person and horse is special. We understand that we
can learn from every riding discipline and horse. We will never
discriminate against riders based on their riding level, choice
of discipline or breed preference.
-
every rider should have a solid foundation in horsemanship
skills. We also believe every horse should have a solid
foundation in its training. We do not believe in quick fixes
or gimmicks for horse or rider.
-
in establishing a relationship with a horse and working
with it as a team. We believe in training the whole horse
physically, mentally and emotionally through
stress and
recovery.
-
the horse is our teacher and that the horse/human relationship
can be a great metaphor for life.

Training Philosophy |
|
We have
learned from many great horsemen. We have developed and
continually improve upon our personal training techniques. We feel
our program offers effective techniques, and we can give you
reasons why we use them. We believe these basic training
principles never change and should be included in every
horseman’s program.
-
Safety
first.
-
We put
the horse first before the owner’s or the trainer’s goals.
-
We
believe in an educated client.
-
We are
tough but tender with our horses while striving to create a
balance of trust and respect.
-
We
don’t force a horse to do anything; we teach them to want to do
as we ask.
-
We teach where we
release; the horse first learns to give to restraint, then
learns to give when we are soft.
-
We
believe in a practical, systematic training process that does
not
include quick fixes, gimmicks or sensationalism.
-
We
believe a solid foundation begins on the ground and is carried
into the saddle with proper equitation and knowledgeable
training skills.
-
We
believe in taking good care of our horses, physically, mentally
and emotionally.
